As the sunlight softens just before sundown, I take a moment to sit down amongst the abundant wild grasses and violet-hued meadow flowers, to absorb the feeling of the summer breeze as it dances through. The light catches the golden feathered tips of the tall grasses as they sway.

Working with strokes of my palette knife, building layers and texture with the paint to express this movement and capture the essence of ‘being there’ amongst the tall golden grasses, knapweed and field scabious elegance.

I hope these artworks can bring the sheer goodness and nourishment of Nature’s beauty to the most intimate of interior spaces, or they can be collected to create a ‘collaged’ wall in your home.

Executed with professional oil paints on high quality stretched canvas, with universal primer, and with softwood stretchers. Canvas size is 20 x 20 x 2 cm depth. The image is extended on the sides of the canvas creating a 3-D effect. The canvas is signed on both the front and the back, and there are 2 D-rings attached to each side of the softwood stretchers strung with strong cord so that this work is READY TO HANG to sit flush against the wall, offering a contemporary finish to the artwork.
