Join me at this new sociable workshop experience designed to empower and nurture your creativity. Together we will explore the pure joy of painting SEASCAPES with a COASTAL COLOUR palette! Gift yourself some ‘me-time’ – come and be inspired to experiment, to play with paint.

Ideal for complete beginners, as well as those with some painting experience seeking a fresh approach. I will be your ‘hands-on’ guide sharing all the tips, encouragement and creative prompts. This immersive painting workshop offers you the opportunity to explore using water-mixable oil paints to create your own seascapes and coastal-inspired artworks, and to learn the techniques required to continue your art journey at home.

What will you learn with me?

• Understand the colour wheel, the foundation elements of colours, and the joy of mixing colours.
• Appreciate the beauty of using water-mixable oil paints and their buttery texture.
• Learn about the environmental benefits of using water-mixable oil paints. No solvents needed.
• Apply techniques and mark making; explore movement to create the base layers of a painting.
• Learn how to use a palette knife and/or brush to apply the paint in layers to create depth and texture.
• Learn to develop the composition of a painting, to create balance and harmony as you paint.
• Take away new skills and materials to create your own artworks in your own time, that I hope you will feel proud enough to frame.

This painting workshop is the ideal opportunity to try something NEW, but without the need to create perfectly. Allow yourself to be open, and let your curiosity guide you. This nurturing session will give you the space to learn and build confidence to continue your own art journey at home. We paint in small groups in the safe and supportive environment of the studio.

What is included in the workshop?

• All painting supplies, paper and materials are included in the workshop.
• Coffee/Tea breaks will be provided, as well as soft drinks and snacks too! Please bring a packed lunch.
• A printable PARTICIPANT PACK which contains Tips, Info & Inspiration, will be sent to you via email prior to the workshop.
• Take your finished artworks and my preferred list of suppliers to order more materials, so you can continue your own artistic journey at home.

When we give ourselves the space to breathe, to explore, to play, it will bring much beauty and energy into the other areas of our lives. This is not just about painting, this is a holistic and enriching experience for your mind, body and soul.

And, of course, the most wonderful thing about this workshop experience is that unique mix of dedicated ‘me-time’ and the best kind of sociable creative fun!
