Sea gazing from the shelter of the dunes – the gentle rustle of marram grass around me, I can feel the soft sand under-foot, the sun dipping low as the breeze cools my face – evoking a calming sentiment to savour in this contemplative painting entitled “Soothe my Soul”.

Tapping in to my visual memories and feelings of my time spent here on the North Norfolk coast, I have crafted this painting with an ethos of ‘letting go’ of perfection — embracing freedom, and a more experimental approach to mark-making — trusting my intuition as I paint.

Painted in my Cambridge studio, this original artwork is created with Winsor & Newton professional oil paints on high quality stretched canvas, with softwood stretchers. Canvas size is 30 x 24cm x 4.5 cm depth. The canvas is signed on both the front and the back with the title. It is strung with strong cord so that this artwork is READY TO HANG to sit flush against the wall, with no need for further framing, offering a contemporary finish to the piece.
